Remember how I said Journey/Steve Perry weren't really released in
Australia? I've never heard any of this music except from YouTube and
the odd video 'classics' spot. Well, today I finally found somewhere
local that was selling their CDs. Only 'Street Talk' for solo stuff,
but most of Journey's albums from SP's days. I'm on a limited,
student's budget, but I blew it on 'Street Talk' and 'The Essential
Journey'.

Oh...My...God...

It's 2 in the morning here, and I am too wired to sleep; I suspect I'm
going to be up all night. I've been listening for the last six hours
straight, headphones on for the purest sound, and what a rollercoaster
it's been. At least a dozen new 'absolutely best favourite' songs;
emotionally I've been up, down, turned around and inside out. I've
been dancing on the kitchen table singing along and sitting on the
floor with the dog licking the tears off my face.

I need to go sailing with 'Only The Young' blasting out, I need to go
walking on the beach and match the waves with 'Open Arms', hike up a
mountain and hear 'Foolish Girl' in the silence, ride my bike at
100kph singing 'Any Way You Want It' and try to outsing the next
thunderstorm with 'I Believe'. I haven't felt this caught up in music
since I was fifteen.

I think I just found god, and he's a tenor.
